Question 1

What do side 2016 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 84 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLVO XC90 with side damage, the median was $6,400, from $4,000 to $9,800. That is 2% above the $6,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,600 a good price for this 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

1472 comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,300, spanning $3,850 to $9,700. At $6,600 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $16,500. It sold for $6,600 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 VOLVO XC90. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this VOLVO XC90 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in KY - LEXINGTON EAST. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 185,866 miles high for a 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 122,943 miles across 1472 sales, so at 185,866 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
