Question 1

Was $11,275 a good price for this 2018 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

901 comparable 2018 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,700, spanning $4,400 to $12,600. At $11,275 this one went 46% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This VOLVO XC90 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $31,862. It sold for $11,275 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 63,499 miles high for a 2018 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 103,469 miles across 901 sales, so at 63,499 miles this one sits 39% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Erie Insurance Group. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 VOLVO XC90 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 VOLVO XC90 was listed at IAAI as lot 36367819 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
