Question 1

What do rear end 2016 VOLVO XC60 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 34 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLVO XC60 with rear end damage, the median was $4,800, from $3,350 to $7,000. That is 14% above the $4,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,200 a good price for this 2016 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

345 comparable 2016 VOLVO XC60 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,200, spanning $3,200 to $6,600. At $7,200 this one went 71% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC60 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 VOLVO XC60's pre-damage retail value at $12,675. It sold for $7,200 — 43% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLVO XC60 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 83,621 miles high for a 2016 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLVO XC60 listings at auction averaged 96,147 miles across 345 sales, so at 83,621 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 VOLVO XC60. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
