Question 1

Was $6,200 a good price for this 2017 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

390 comparable 2017 VOLVO XC60 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,700, spanning $3,200 to $7,000. At $6,200 this one went 32% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC60 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 VOLVO XC60's pre-damage retail value at $15,788. It sold for $6,200 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage (new jersey) mean for this VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLVO XC60 was sold on a salvage (new jersey). A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

Is 94,652 miles high for a 2017 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLVO XC60 listings at auction averaged 90,230 miles across 390 sales, so at 94,652 miles this one sits 5% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Progressive Casualty Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2017 VOLVO XC60 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
