Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 VOLVO XC60 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 38 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLVO XC60 with water/flood damage, the median was $8,600, from $5,500 to $10,900. That is 1% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,600 a good price for this 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

608 comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,550 to $12,900. At $12,600 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC60 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLVO XC60's pre-damage retail value at $27,658. It sold for $12,600 — 54% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED VEHICLES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED VEHICLES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLVO XC60. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this VOLVO XC60 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - LONG ISLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 20,784 miles high for a 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings at auction averaged 85,470 miles across 608 sales, so at 20,784 miles this one sits 76% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
