Question 1

Was $12,200 a good price for this 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

621 comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,550 to $12,800. At $12,200 this one went 44% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC60 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLVO XC60's pre-damage retail value at $21,621. It sold for $12,200 — 44% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 VOLVO XC60 was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this VOLVO XC60 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - HARTFORD SPRINGFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 98,098 miles high for a 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings at auction averaged 85,805 miles across 621 sales, so at 98,098 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLVO XC60. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
