Question 1

What do front end 2020 VOLVO XC40 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 124 recorded sales of the 2020 VOLVO XC40 with front end damage, the median was $6,200, from $3,900 to $11,400. That is 11% below the $7,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,900 a good price for this 2020 VOLVO XC40?

Accepted Answer

294 comparable 2020 VOLVO XC40 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,000, spanning $4,150 to $11,200. At $4,900 this one went 30% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this VOLVO XC40?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 VOLVO XC40 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this VOLVO XC40 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - BYRON CENTER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLVO XC40. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 1 miles high for a 2020 VOLVO XC40?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLVO XC40 listings at auction averaged 60,854 miles across 294 sales, so at 1 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
