Question 1

What does a clear mean for this VOLVO S90?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLVO S90 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 2

This VOLVO S90 has normal wear & tear and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 105,772 miles high for a 2017 VOLVO S90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLVO S90 listings at auction averaged 99,375 miles across 157 sales, so at 105,772 miles this one sits 6% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 VOLVO S90?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ALLY FINANCIAL. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2017 VOLVO S90 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN YV1A22ML1H1009272?

Accepted Answer

YV1A22ML1H1009272 identifies this specific 2017 VOLVO S90 in black with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo/supercharger, premium , 316hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
