Question 1

What do water/flood 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN with water/flood damage, the median was $5,500, from $4,250 to $7,300. That is 8% above the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

1735 comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,450 to $7,700. At $6,900 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN's pre-damage retail value at $21,733. It sold for $6,900 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MA - NORTH BILLERICA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 9,669 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 76,912 miles across 1735 sales, so at 9,669 miles this one sits 87% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
