Question 1

This VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in ID - PORTLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 74,331 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 82,662 miles across 187 sales, so at 74,331 miles this one sits 10% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN WVGBV7AX1GW590257?

Accepted Answer

WVGBV7AX1GW590257 identifies this specific 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN in grey with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 200hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN was listed at IAAI as lot 46066151 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
