Question 1

What do right side 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 77 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN with right side damage, the median was $4,475, from $3,350 to $6,100. That is 3% above the $4,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 78,900 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 98,144 miles across 2003 sales, so at 78,900 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN was listed at IAAI as lot 46207198 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
