Question 1

What do hail 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN with hail damage, the median was $5,525, from $3,800 to $7,700. That is 27% above the $4,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MN - RANDOLPH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 147,943 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 97,879 miles across 1945 sales, so at 147,943 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3VV2B7AX4JM068759?

Accepted Answer
