Question 1

What do rear 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 66 recorded sales of the 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN with rear damage, the median was $6,500, from $4,300 to $9,200. That is 16% above the $5,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in FL - PEMBROKE PINES. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 35,267 miles high for a 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 66,691 miles across 1840 sales, so at 35,267 miles this one sits 47% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
