Question 1

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

307 comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings sold at auction for a median of $3,400, spanning $3,050 to $4,500. At $3,700 this one went 9% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a mv-907a-ny mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN was sold on a mv-907a-ny. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MONTICELLO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 63,022 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN listings at auction averaged 77,438 miles across 307 sales, so at 63,022 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN has left rear and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
