Question 1

What do hail 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 41 recorded sales of the 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with hail damage, the median was $8,725, from $3,700 to $10,975. That is 50% above the $5,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,550 a good price for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

1329 comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,800, spanning $3,450 to $9,200. At $3,550 this one went 39% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS's pre-damage retail value at $12,041. It sold for $3,550 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 5

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MO - ROGERSVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 780 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$750, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 135,392 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 54,754 miles across 1329 sales, so at 135,392 miles this one sits 147% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
