Question 1

What do front end 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 437 recorded sales of the 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with front end damage, the median was $5,800, from $3,575 to $8,900. That is 10% below the $6,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,900 a good price for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

918 comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,450, spanning $3,750 to $9,425. At $12,900 this one went 100% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 4,074 miles high for a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 39,365 miles across 918 sales, so at 4,074 miles this one sits 90% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
