Question 1

What do side 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 122 recorded sales of the 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with side damage, the median was $6,200, from $3,850 to $8,900. That is 6% above the $5,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - DUNN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS has side and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 127,320 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 54,412 miles across 1285 sales, so at 127,320 miles this one sits 134% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
