Question 1

What do rear 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 40 recorded sales of the 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with rear damage, the median was $7,325, from $5,200 to $12,100. That is 9% above the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,850 a good price for this 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

1259 comparable 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $4,000 to $10,700. At $5,850 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS has rear and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 24,670 miles high for a 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 23,475 miles across 1259 sales, so at 24,670 miles this one sits 5% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
