Question 1

What do front end 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 404 recorded sales of the 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with front end damage, the median was $5,900, from $3,600 to $9,100. That is 10% below the $6,525 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

865 comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,525, spanning $3,800 to $9,500. At $6,700 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in FL - PALMETTO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 18,087 miles high for a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 38,284 miles across 865 sales, so at 18,087 miles this one sits 53% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
