Question 1

What do rear 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with rear damage, the median was $9,625, from $7,700 to $11,400. That is 19% above the $8,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,950 a good price for this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

553 comparable 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,100, spanning $4,100 to $13,200. At $8,950 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - MACON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 15,937 miles high for a 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 11,428 miles across 553 sales, so at 15,937 miles this one sits 39% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
