Question 1

What do front & rear 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with front & rear damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,000 to $5,500. That is 30% below the $5,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,525 a good price for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

1383 comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,700, spanning $3,400 to $9,100. At $3,525 this one went 38% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 68,773 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 54,856 miles across 1383 sales, so at 68,773 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS has front & rear and right rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
