Question 1

What do rear end 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT with rear end damage, the median was $3,575, from $3,000 to $4,650. That is level with the $3,575 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - ALBANY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 145,356 miles high for a 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 77,857 miles across 138 sales, so at 145,356 miles this one sits 87% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
