Question 1

What do side 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT with side damage, the median was $3,525, from $3,150 to $4,500. That is 3% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,400 a good price for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

398 comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,100 to $5,000. At $3,400 this one went 7% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT's pre-damage retail value at $11,219. It sold for $3,400 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 6

Is 82,131 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 82,470 miles across 398 sales, so at 82,131 miles this one sits 0% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
