Question 1

What do front end 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 41 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT with front end damage, the median was $3,300, from $3,050 to $3,750. That is level with the $3,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a non-repairable mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - HAM LAKE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 79,294 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 89,877 miles across 134 sales, so at 79,294 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1VWAT7A39GC064945?

Accepted Answer

For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
