Question 1

What does a mb-salvageable-manitoba mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a mb-salvageable-manitoba. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT has front and front window damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in MANITOBA - WINNIPEG. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

Is 78,005 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 77,733 miles across 512 sales, so at 78,005 miles this one sits 0% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1VWEA7A36LC017678?

Accepted Answer

1VWEA7A36LC017678 identifies this specific 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT in black with a gas engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
