Question 1

What do front end 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 237 recorded sales of the 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT with front end damage, the median was $4,100, from $3,125 to $6,100. That is 4% below the $4,250 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,100 a good price for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

517 comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings sold at auction for a median of $4,250, spanning $3,200 to $6,300. At $3,100 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - RINCON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 83,020 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 77,880 miles across 517 sales, so at 83,020 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT has front end and engine damage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
