Question 1

What does a clear mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 2

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - LOGANVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT has engine damage and right front damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 136,281 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 90,222 miles across 133 sales, so at 136,281 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with engine damage damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1VWAT7A36GC055877?

Accepted Answer

1VWAT7A36GC055877 identifies this specific 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT in red with a 1.8l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, regular , 170hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only.
