Question 1

What do front end 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 41 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT with front end damage, the median was $3,300, from $3,050 to $3,750. That is level with the $3,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

Is 63,455 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT listings at auction averaged 90,222 miles across 133 sales, so at 63,455 miles this one sits 30% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
