Question 1

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a cert of title- non repair mean for this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was sold on a cert of title- non repair. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NM - ALBUQUERQUE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 750 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$725, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA has biohazard/chemical and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 69,714 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 96,020 miles across 973 sales, so at 69,714 miles this one sits 27% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
