Question 1

Was $5,800 a good price for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

1485 comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,150, spanning $3,150 to $6,300. At $5,800 this one went 40% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MA - NORTH BILLERICA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 125,166 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 71,781 miles across 1485 sales, so at 125,166 miles this one sits 74% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was listed at COPART as lot 81344205 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
