Question 1

What do water/flood 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA with water/flood damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,300 to $4,550. That is level with the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

3338 comparable 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,150 to $5,600. At $3,700 this one went 4% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OH - MORAINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 148,214 miles high for a 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 86,109 miles across 3338 sales, so at 148,214 miles this one sits 72% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA has water/flood and top/roof damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
