Question 1

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 2

Is 231,481 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 93,076 miles across 265 sales, so at 231,481 miles this one sits 149% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at COPART in NB - MONCTON. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 4

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 3VW167AJ9GM377708?

Accepted Answer

3VW167AJ9GM377708 identifies this specific 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA in blue with a 1.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was listed at COPART as lot 61715165 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
