Question 1

What do left side 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA with left side damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,050 to $5,050. That is 10% above the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA has left side and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 115,502 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 96,053 miles across 971 sales, so at 115,502 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was listed at IAAI as lot 46277251 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
