Question 1

Was $3,650 a good price for this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

1860 comparable 2021 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,950, spanning $3,300 to $8,600. At $3,650 this one went 26% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in AL - BESSEMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 77,220 miles high for a 2021 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 63,387 miles across 1860 sales, so at 77,220 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This VOLKSWAGEN JETTA has normal wear & tear and electrical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
