Question 1

What do left side 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 44 recorded sales of the 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA with left side damage, the median was $4,150, from $3,250 to $5,700. That is level with the $4,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

1405 comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,150, spanning $3,150 to $6,400. At $5,500 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN JETTA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - BERGEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 58,315 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA listings at auction averaged 70,687 miles across 1405 sales, so at 58,315 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
