Question 1

This VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

This VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 has left front and left side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 9,772 miles high for a 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings at auction averaged 6,743 miles across 125 sales, so at 9,772 miles this one sits 45% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in HI - KAPOLEI. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 was listed at IAAI as lot 46141838 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
