Question 1

What do rear 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 47 recorded sales of the 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 with rear damage, the median was $10,625, from $6,275 to $15,200. That is 8% above the $9,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,325 a good price for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

872 comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings sold at auction for a median of $9,800, spanning $5,300 to $14,250. At $9,325 this one went 5% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - CARSON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 116 miles high for a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings at auction averaged 28,226 miles across 872 sales, so at 116 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was AUTO CLUB OF SOUTHERN CA (ACSC). Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
