Question 1

Was $5,700 a good price for this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

432 comparable 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,100, spanning $4,150 to $11,400. At $5,700 this one went 30% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - COLTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 110,272 miles high for a 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings at auction averaged 50,956 miles across 432 sales, so at 110,272 miles this one sits 116% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2021 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
