Question 1

What do front end 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 141 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI with front end damage, the median was $3,775, from $3,150 to $5,100. That is 7% below the $4,050 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GTI?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN GTI from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NE - GREENWOOD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 900 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $575-$850, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 169,129 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI listings at auction averaged 99,791 miles across 276 sales, so at 169,129 miles this one sits 69% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GTI come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3VW5T7AU7GM026459?
