What does a clear mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from an export port?

The lot sat at IAAI in IL - EAST DUNDEE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 138,960 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,474 miles across 328 sales, so at 138,960 miles this one sits 82% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Did this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF come with keys?

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Can I buy this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from AutoBidCar?

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was listed at IAAI as lot 41875956 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
