What do rear end 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF models sell for?

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF with rear end damage, the median was $3,450, from $3,100 to $5,200. That is 9% below the $3,775 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $3,900 a good price for this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

123 comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings sold at auction for a median of $3,775, spanning $3,050 to $6,600. At $3,900 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF sell for?

The insurer put this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF's pre-damage retail value at $13,836. It sold for $3,900 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 81,627 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 89,423 miles across 123 sales, so at 81,627 miles this one sits 9% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
