Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,425, from $3,600 to $6,600. That is 13% above the $3,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - BAKERSFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 122,741 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,474 miles across 328 sales, so at 122,741 miles this one sits 61% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3VW217AU9HM014694?

Accepted Answer
