Question 1

What do front end 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 126 recorded sales of the 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF with front end damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,150 to $6,100. That is 3% below the $3,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in KY - LAWRENCEBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 70,165 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,523 miles across 337 sales, so at 70,165 miles this one sits 8% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
