Question 1

What do side 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 22 recorded sales of the 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF with side damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,350 to $7,100. That is 18% above the $4,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,100 a good price for this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

229 comparable 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings sold at auction for a median of $4,400, spanning $3,200 to $7,700. At $7,100 this one went 61% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF's pre-damage retail value at $28,579. It sold for $7,100 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - GREENWELL SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 39,480 miles high for a 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 63,238 miles across 229 sales, so at 39,480 miles this one sits 38% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
