Question 1

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a on-not branded-ontario mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a on-not branded-ontario. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

Is 70,029 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,257 miles across 139 sales, so at 70,029 miles this one sits 8% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - LONDON. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

Question 6

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was listed at IAAI as lot 12701853 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
