Question 1

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a qc-v.g.a-quebec mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a qc-v.g.a-quebec. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF has engine fire and roof damage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in QUEBEC - ST-EUSTACHE. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

Is 67,375 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,190 miles across 320 sales, so at 67,375 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was listed at IAAI as lot 12702600x and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
