Question 1

What does a qc-v.g.a-quebec mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a qc-v.g.a-quebec. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 2

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF has front and left front damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 49,779 miles high for a 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 76,460 miles across 338 sales, so at 49,779 miles this one sits 35% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in QUEBEC - ST-NICOLAS. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3VW217AU8HM001127?

Accepted Answer

3VW217AU8HM001127 identifies this specific 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF in red with a 1.8l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 170hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only.
