Question 1

What does a ns-salvage-nova scotia mean for this VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was sold on a ns-salvage-nova scotia. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

This VOLKSWAGEN GOLF has rear and front damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 99,135 miles high for a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF listings at auction averaged 89,151 miles across 120 sales, so at 99,135 miles this one sits 11% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF was listed at IAAI as lot 12688568 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3VW217AUXGM045855?

Accepted Answer

3VW217AUXGM045855 identifies this specific 2016 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF in blue with a 1.8l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 170hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
