Question 1

What do side 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 158 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS with side damage, the median was $4,600, from $3,250 to $6,700. That is 3% above the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CHICAGO HEIGHTS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 88,674 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 118,644 miles across 1563 sales, so at 88,674 miles this one sits 25% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS was listed at COPART as lot 68247016 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
