Question 1

What do side 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 164 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS with side damage, the median was $4,500, from $3,250 to $6,600. That is 1% above the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,650 a good price for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

1615 comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,250 to $6,450. At $3,650 this one went 18% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AZ - PHOENIX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 380 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $325-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS's pre-damage retail value at $16,770. It sold for $3,650 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 64,656 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 118,425 miles across 1615 sales, so at 64,656 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
